Arts in the EnvironmentThe relationship between art and the natural world has been a long standing one. The chance to use art to encourage environmental awareness and contribute to Environmental education is more recent.

The Art group will have two sub groups within it and you should specify which group you are registering for: the Art in the Environment Group or the Drama and the Environment Group.

Art in the Environment Group

This group will explore the use of art in environmental education. They will have the chance to attend a Junk Jewellery workshop, view environmental sculptures, take part in hands on environmental sculpture fieldwork and take part in the community art project to raise awareness in the local community.

Drama in the Environment

For centuries street performers have entertained audiences and used drama to raise awareness of issues in the community. As part of the Drama in the Environment group, you will get the chance to develop a drama piece and perform it in the centre of Aberdeen. Please note that this is a performance group and participants will be expected to perform in public.
